The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of adventurers who will split off from the primary party to embark on their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.
This warrior group features Teor (brought to life by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), Tyranny (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
With a large ensemble, it was evident from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the personal journeys before dividing into three separate parties: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
As described by the DM, the Soldiers table is for participants who prefer a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the narrative’s action—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then settled his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above the urban center, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
- Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the powerful family could assist the party reach areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, The fighter pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind no longer safe:
- The rogue and The character are known criminals.
- The strong figure and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.
This means them little choice but to journey toward the northern region in search of the antagonist.
